We had such a nice week at school. There were a total of three birthday parties, and the children were lucky to have two Monday Breads! (A regular Monday one, and an "oops I switched the dates" Thursday one...) Ms. Marie's class made wire mobiles, in the fashion of Alexander Calder. Ms. Melodie's class kept asking her about her special morning "chai," so they finally made a kid-friendly chai mix in little satchets. They had a little tea party at the end of class, and felt so grown up that they were "drinking chai like Ms. Melodie."
We also created a fancy Facebook page this week. We're slowly becoming more tech-savvy over here, all in the effort to make it easier for teachers and parents to brainstorm fun ideas for art projects, summer camp, outdoor playspaces, etc. We'll also post regular links to intriguing recipes, crafts, and more that you can try at home, so please "like" us and take part in this exciting new part of Ava Wanas.
