The kids at Ava Wanas took their first field trip of the summer to Full Moon Farm, a local horse farm in Finksburg. They were shown a horse breed parade and learned about all different varieties of horses, big and small. Then they were given a tour of the farm facilities. They learned about how to put bedding in the stalls, how much grain to feed them, where hay is stored, and where they get exercise. They also learned how to groom the horses with different tools like brushes and picks. The most exciting part was riding! The kids each wore a helmet and rode in a circle with an instructor. They had so much fun! Thank you Full Moon Farm!
(...and thank you Ms. Marie and Hailey's mom for taking such great pictures to document this special trip!)
